Hi, my name is Susan Redmon and I am an Internet network marketer and coach.
I was born and raised in the Tar Heel state . . . North Carolina.
I’m a “Boomer” with an undergraduate degree . . . emphasis on business and economics . . . and my business background is primarily from corporate America. I spent almost 30 years in various positions on the corporate human resources staff for what was once one of the largest manufacturing companies in the world. A company that all but vanished due to “corporate raiders”, leveraged buy-outs, competition from overseas . . . etc., etc., etc. You have probably heard similar stories . . . stories of other companies whose star rose in the early part of the 20th century and all but vanished by the end of the century.
I’m an entrepreneur at heart . . . got it from my paternal grandparents. So while working in the corporate world, I also partnered with family members to own and manage three franchised businesses. Or, maybe I should say we bought ourselves second jobs . . . but that’s another story.
When I started in Network Marketing in 1997, I hadn’t a clue what I was doing. All I knew was the business model was intriguing. However, the transition from corporate positions . . . to franchising and then networking was . . . shall we say . . . interesting and challenging.
As a network marketer, I was a dutiful student “following the leader” making cold calls, giving presentations, passing out flyers, business cards and product samples . . . following up with prospects . . . and attending event after event after event. I rented booth space at expos and participated in “health fairs” handing out information and dispensing samples. Long story . . . short . . . I got absolutely nowhere!
Baffled, I . . . like a lot of other networkers . . . turned to leads lists and fancy “quick dialing” phone systems . . . and guess what? I got absolutely nowhere!
I was frustrated and perplexed! I knew there were successful networkers using Internet marketing strategies to build large network marketing organizations and I was determined to find out who they were and what they were doing. That’s when I started surfing the “net” looking for network marketing industry leaders who were also Internet marketing gurus. I soon found the people I was looking for . . . and my life changed forever.
It’s like the doors and windows suddenly opened allowing me . . . for the first time . . . to explore all of the latest marketing tools and strategies. The best part is . . . there’s no need to scramble all over the Internet looking for resources. Everything I need is collected in one spot. The biggest challenge I’ve had is selecting which strategies to pursue first.
As a result of moving my business online, I’ve added a new personal goal . . . to help as many network marketers as possible with the transition from offline to online marketing. So here’s the thing . . .
